Solutions are “answers” to a problem. Problems are really ways of posing a question. Any question determines a possible field of answers. Thus solutions never come alone and are ultimately only as good as the question being asked (along with its underlying assumptions).
As designers / makers we often fall in love with our solutions (answers). This is a mistake (from the perspective of creativity). We need to fall in love with the possibility of becoming the creators of problems worth having.
